Is it bedtime yet?

Today I was THAT MOM. I was the mom that got yelled at by the guy directing school traffic during student drop off because I was "doing it wrong". My bad. In my defense, I was told I could drop my kid off 30 minutes before school started and there would be teachers waiting to take them to their classes. WRONG-O. So after finally finding a parking spot and waiting in the humidity for 30 minutes for the teacher to open the door, (of course that was the day I decided NOT to pull my hair back into a ponytail so, frizz city), she finally did open the door, and I then became the mom that was struggling to physically pull her son into his kindergarten class as he held onto the door frame for dear life while also crying loudly that he wanted to go home. Yeah, that was me. The one pulling on her son with beads of sweat running down my face from my now fluffy hair. I was the one every other parent was trying to avoid eye contact with as they witnessed my crazy situation while probably thanking God that it wasn't them and also hoping my kid didn't end up freaking theirs out. But I know he didn't scare any other kids because lucky for me, he was the only one having a melt down when I was finally told by the teachers assistant to go ahead and leave. He did great Monday and Tuesday so I'm confused? Anyway, he is there, I am home and I haven't had a phone call yet asking me to pick him up. Yay me...right? And to think, I actually thought I wasn't going to have to get out of the car! Ha! Oh my gosh, I just realized I almost went out the door without a bra, (thank You God that I decided to put one on at the last second)! Whatever, I'll take the victory! I'm already tired and it's only 8:30am!
Is it bedtime yet?

Boing, boing, boing!

Soooooooo, since the city I live in is apparently on the sun, I was compelled to wear a tank top instead of one of my, "go to" loose baggy shirts that I prefer because I got a little too relaxed in regards to food and have since regained the 20 pounds I had previously bragged about losing, (conveniently in time for summer I might add). Well, it became apparent that I had become too comfortable in said tank top while playing Angry Birds the moment I realized that my youngest son had been sitting next to me using my now visible armpit fat as a trampoline for his fingers and making a, "boing, boing, boing" sound...yup. I don't even know how long he had been sitting there doing that, (yes Angry Birds is THAT addicting)! I'm just glad we were at home and not in public...again! HA! I guess instead of feeling mortified, I will decide to laugh and choose joy...and maybe wear a more loose fitting tank top...and dust off my Jillian Michaels DVD...and eat less donuts, (did I just say that)?!!!

Choose joy...I just said that, right?

Smile, shrug and think, "A day in the life"!

So, this morning after managing to prepare a cup of coffee,  I cleaned up salsa that had come flying out of the fridge and splashed onto the floor when I opened the fridge door,
(thank you to whoever put it in there like that), I made a pitcher of juice for three boys who kept reminding me repeatedly that they wanted juice, then spilled the entire contents of said pitcher when I knocked it over while turning around to tell them to get OFF of the table, cleaned that up and re-made juice, made a pb&j sandwich for one boy, (which MUST have the crusts cut off and cut into fourths by the way), and a hot dog with ketchup for another, only to hear minutes after handing them their food that they no longer want what they asked for anymore. HA!!!
I take a DEEP BREATH, reheat my coffee that had already gone cold, and walk away! I love my sweeties, I really do, I just needed a second.
I am determined to be productive today, but with my crazy guys, if the only thing I accomplish is typing this up, I'm counting today as a WIN!
Now if you'll excuse me, I am being called to help a screaming toddler who had been crying to have his hands washed, then started screaming when they were washed in the WRONG bathroom sink, (oh the humanity)! What can I do except smile, shrug, and think, "a day in the life"!? LOL!
P.S. I just heard one of them yelling, "Give me my popsicle"! Who in their right mind gave these kids popsicles??!!!!
P.S.S. I'm done typing this so, WIN!

Choose joy...no really.

Needed this!

While taking a moment to text a friend, the J-Man decided to play baseball w/a BRAND NEW roll of toilet paper, The Little started crying for the millionth time today, and the T-Man was being suspiciously quiet. When I noticed that the other two were suddenly quiet as well, I checked on them. What I found was that T-Man had been happily pouring water onto the floor, onto himself and then onto his brothers, (which was why The Little stopped crying and my unrolled toilet paper was finally left alone). The worst part is that he was using the bowl in The Little's potty training toilet to do it, GROSS! So now and all three guys and the carpet are completely soaked. Moral of the story, I should only text when the guys are sleeping! HA! And just when I felt like I was gonna go crazy, I happened to see this and was amazed at the timing:
God sent me encouragement at the PERFECT time, (God is good to me, I'm one of His favorites)! Message received, Lord, because of You, I got this!

Um, thanks T-Man...I think!

This morning I was awakened by the, oh so familiar sound of, "Mom, mommy, mommy, mom...". I opened my eyes to see that it was the T-Man staring at me uncomfortably close.
Me: "What?"
T-Man: "Mom, everybody sleep."
Me: "Huh?"
T-Man: "Everybody sleep."
Me: "You woke me up to tell me everyone is asleep?"
T-Man: "Yeah."
He then walks out of my room.
Yup, that happened. LOL! LOL! Is it mean that I am looking forward to the day that he calls me to tell me his kid did the same thing so I can laugh? HA!

Woody wanted ice cream

We live in Phoenix, and it is HOT in the summer. I opened the freezer and saw this:
I guess Woody wanted ice cream, and decided it felt better in there! LOL! I know that one day I will miss stumbling onto stuff like this...
